Other types of steel are also used depending on the mounting of the knives, such as:
- Sandvik® 14C28 stainless steel: high hardness, excellent cutting performance and corrosion resistance, easy to sharpen.
- XC75 Carbon Steel: high quality, great flexibility, good cutting resistance, and easy sharpening. Sensitivity to corrosion, requires regular maintenance.
- Damascus Carbon Steel: forged by hand. It offers exceptional cutting quality and masterful robustness.
- Damasteel® RWL34 stainless steel: excellent and durable cutting edge, very high hardness, remarkable corrosion resistance.
- Damasteel® stainless steel Damascus: exceptional cutting quality, masterful robustness, exceptional corrosion resistance.

Whether in juniper burl, mammoth ivory, lightning oak, ebony, Jaspée horn tip, carbon or other exceptional materials, all the handles of the high-end French Le Liadou folding knives are handcrafted in the Aveyron workshop to offer a unique look and feel. Their processing, their shaping, their patina and their perfect adjustment allow them to integrate perfectly with the different plates and mechanisms of the knife. If necessary, the workshop is even able to create custom sleeves with the material of your choice for a special order.
